A large Bullfrog tadpole held in a person's hands. This tadpole was found in October and may be a year old. Based on the size of the hind legs, it will probably spend another winter in the pond before metamorphosing in the spring or summer.
Three American Toad hatchlings shortly after swimming away from their eggs. External gills are visible behind their heads. The gills will be absorbed soon. The light-colored hatchling in the middle is the offspring of an albino female American Toad: http://www.mister-toad.com/photos/frog/albino-tadpole-develop.html
